Rani Temple, also known as Shiv Temple or Mohineshwar Shivalaya, is situated in Gulmarg, Jammu & Kashmir. It was built in 1915 by Rani Mohini Bai Sisodia, the wife of the then ruler, Maharaja Hari Singh. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is believed that Rani Mohini Bai Sisodia spent some time at this temple worshipping Lord Shiva. This temple was also regarded as the Dogra Dynasty monarch’s royal temple.

This temple was constructed at a height from which it is visible from every part of Gulmarg. This temple has stunning views of mountains covered in snow on all sides. This temple is also famous because it appeared in the famous Bollywood song “Jai Jai Shiv Shankar” from the movie “Aap Ki Kasam” featuring Rajesh Khanna and Mumtaz in the early 1970s.
